Legend was a particularly nice minded stallion. He and another stallion we had at the time could live together like a couple of geldings. Legend was younger and acknowledged that Roanie was the boss but they played together and ate together and were both so easy to get along with. When you live on a ranch and have kids working around and with the animals it is essential that only the good minded animals live here with us. This kind and gentle dispostion trait was strong and was usually passed on to Legends offsring. They are particularly sensible, easy to get along with horses. They were often started and trained by amateurs and became family favorites.

Legend's offspring have also excelled in the show ring making him a leading sire of Alberta Pot O' Gold Futurity Winners. He produced some really good ranch horses with lots of cow sense. One of his son's, MCR Heza Keeper, is one of the nicest horses I have ever trained and ridden. Our broodmare band is down to 3 mares that we are very proud of and one is a daughter of Legend's. She is a great producing mare.

Many of his offspring ended up working cattle on pastures, competing in Cowboy Challenges, a wide variety of things, with many of them being trained and shown by amateurs.
