We are pleased to announce that Twenty Twenty has moved back to Moose Creek Ranch. Twenty Twenty was a nice strong, friendly little guy since the day he was born. He is the most independent colt we ever raised. Both sides of his family are filled with horses with great dispositions, nice movement and a lot of eye appeal. He should be a very versatile horse. His family do everything from ranch work to showing. I'm getting a bit old to be working with young horses but hopefully with a disposition like this colt has it will be fun and good for both of us. We sold him to a very good home in BC when he was a baby and he got a gentle start this summer (2022). We have turned him out on pasture for this year to grow up a bit. I don't like riding 2 year olds but will probably do some ground work over the winter if the weather isn't particularly harsh. He immediately wanted to hang out with his dam but she has another baby now and wasn't all that nice about telling him he was a big boy now. Eddie was his usual self and got a little too harsh about telling him that King Eddie runs this domain. Eddie loved him when he was a baby. Apparently Twenty's "worldly travels" and getting taller ended that love. So Eddie is living in the corrals. He does a lot of that. Makes it really handy when you need a saddle horse and the herd is up the pasture.
A winter out on the quarter section will let him find his place in the herd again. He is already travelling with Nifty. The go out and search for oats in the harvested oat field. There are always a few that missed the combine or swather. They are pretty limited in how far they go though as it is hunting season and the moose are moving through there really often. The mares don't go with them as they are still hanging around their weaned babies' pen and the young geldings aren't all that brave on their own.
